Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch having a good design in which erroneous switching operation of ON or OFF by an operator can be prevented utterly without changing a profile by disposing, in a casing inside an operating portion, locking means locked to a side wall of a housing by a seesaw operation so as to lock the operating portion. SOLUTION: When an operating surface 23 of an operating portion 2 is pressed to be actuated for a seesaw operation, a locking piece 41 of a slide portion 4 engages with a cutout 13 formed at an opening 24 of a housing 1, so that an urging spring is pushed into a casing inside 22 in a flexible state. The locking piece 41 of the slide portion 4 engages with a locking hole formed on a side wall 11 of the housing 1 by the urging spring, thereby locking the operating portion 2 from an OFF state to an ON state only by a switching operation of the operating portion 2 without any other operation. When both slide pieces 44 are slid on the slide portion 4 by an operator, the locking piece 41 releases the locking of the operating portion 2.
