PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of preventing discoloration or deterioration of mechanical strength by the exposure to ultraviolet rays by adding a weather resisting agent consisting essentially of a zinc compound to a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by adding weather resisting agent consisting essentially of a zinc compound having the surface preferably partially coated with an organic composition and a light stabilizer to a thermoplastic resin. An antistatic agent or a pigment for coloring is preferably added to the composition. The resultant composition is capable of preventing a gas from generating by processing heat at the time of molding and processing such as injection molding or extrusion molding and eliminating a short shot, a defective appearance or a defective gloss of a molded product.
