Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of improving pest control effect, especially therapeutic effect and reducing an amount of effective component compound used by including a specific imidazole based compound and a spreading agent. SOLUTION: This pest control agent composition comprises (A) an imidazole based compound represented by the formula [R is a halogen, a lower alkyl, etc.; (n) is an integer of 0-5] [e.g. 4-chloro-2cyano-1-dimethylsulfamoyl-5-(4- methylphenyl)imidazole] as an active ingredient and (B) a spreading agent (e.g. a surfactant other than a sorbitan higher fatty acid ester type surfactant, paraffin oil, etc.), as effectiveness-enhancing ingredient. In the above composition, the weight ratio of the A to the component B is preferably (1:5,000) to (2,000:1). When the above composition is applied as a water dispersion to a pest, it is preferable to prepare the composition so that the concentration of the active ingredient is 10,000 ppm and spray the composition in an amount of 100-10,000 1 per ha.
