Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately judge a cause without inflating an air bag when a rapid deceleration condition of a vehicle is generated. SOLUTION: A safety sensor 46 is provided with a dummy circuit switch 46A and a main circuit switch 46B operated mechanically in the case that a vehicle is placed in a rapid deceleration condition. In a condition switching an air bag to a condition able to inflate it (cutoff switch 40 is opened), when the vehicle is placed in a rapid deceleration condition, a switching transistor 58, 62 is actuated, a current is allowed to flow in a squib resistor 60. In this way, the air bag is inflated. On the other hand, in a condition switching to an inflation inhibiting condition (cutoff switch 40 is closed), when a rapid deceleration condition is generated, a switching transistor 56 is operated, in a dummy circuit, a current is carried. In this way, a movable contact of the dummy circuit switch 46A is thermally deformed. |
