Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a collecting slider which causes a trolley wire to be less worn, which makes it possible to improve the conducting capability between a carbon sliding part and a collector shoe, and which is easy to mount. SOLUTION: A collecting slider is structured with a sliding part 1 which contact a trolley wire and a reinforcing part 2 formed solidly by impregnating light metals in the reinforcing part 2 into the gaps of carbons contained in the sliding part 1 made of porous carbons. Also, it is possible to strengthen the bond between the reinforcing part 2 and light metals by implanting metal fibers into the carbons or to fill fibrous reinforcing members into the light metals of the reinforcing part. To manufacture the slider above, porous carbons or porous carbons containing metal fibers, and fibrous reinforcing members when required, are laid inside a mold in advance. Then, molten light metals are filled with pressure into the mold above to be impregnated into or welded onto the carbons or carbons containing the metal fibers. Then, they are cooled to be taken out of the mold, and a thread is cut in the reinforcing part. |
