Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the size and weight of a rotation sensor reducible by providing one stator of a resolver with a plurality of exciting windings and detecting windings. SOLUTION: The stator of a resolver 8 is provided with a stator winding A (152A, 154A, 156A) and stator winding B (152B, 154B, 156B) of identical specifications comprising a set of exciting winding and detecting winding. The stator windings A, B are connected, respectively, with R/D converters 15A, 15B and rationality is checked using output signals therefrom thus performing abnormality diagnosis of a rotation sensor. When an abnormality of the exciting winding, detecting winding or R/D converters 15A, 15B is detected, an alarm signal is delivered and motor control is sustained. Since the rotation sensor can not be diagnosed subsequently, an abnormality diagnosis processing means 300 judges whether the motor control is to be started again or not. This arrangement realizes a small and lightweight rotation sensor suitable for hybrid car, etc. |
