Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve insulating strength and through-insulating strength of the lug of a tank near its bending corner by bending and disposing an insulating barrier near the corner of the lug to match the equipotential line. SOLUTION: A core 1, on which a coil 2 is wound, is contained in a tank 3. The tank 3 is formed into a shape having a lug at a center of a side face, by considering a railway transportation limit and the need for an insulating distance at the center of the winding 2 at a highest voltage. Here, a plurality of insulating barriers 5 are disposed between the winding 2 and the tank 3. In this case, the shape of the barrier 5 is bent to match the shape of an equipotential line 4 even near a point P, and is disposed. The barriers 5 are fixed to the tank 3 at upper and lower ends with spacers 6 and insulating bolts 7. Soft insulators 8 are disposed in a gap between the tank 3 and the barrier 5 near the point P and in a gap between the barriers 5. The length of the barrier 5 disposed at the lug of the tank 3 is extended to substantially the same as the height of the winding 2. |
