Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a device to a readable position by notifying a user of information about the current position of the device related to the best focus position by vibrations in a deep optical information reader. SOLUTION: A vibration pattern is changed based on comparison result of a measured distance (L) with the distance (LBF) to the best focus position. Although vibration strength gradually reduces as a measuring distance becomes farther, a readable range exists in the neighborhood of the best focus position on the way and when the distance (L) is within the range (L LBF), the vibrations of a pattern 2, in which vibrations are intermittently made, are realized. Then, a user who accurately grasps the relation between the best focus position and the present position due to the vibration pattern can appropriately move the device closer or farther to/from the distance (LBF) and smoothly adjust its position. |
