Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a surface roughening treatment onto the surface of a cylindrical aluminum substrate of an electrophotographic organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: A dry ice pellet with a diameter of 0.3-1.0 mm is injected from a nozzle 10 onto the surface of a substrate 7 rotating at a speed of 300-1000 rpm, with an injection quantity of 0.5-4 kg/minute, a compressed air pressure of 3-6 kg/cm and liquid flow of 0.5-2.5 m /minute, and the dry ice pallet is sprayed by moving the nozzle 10 by a cutter moving stand 8 at a nozzle moving speed of 2-15 mm per one revolution of the substrate 7.
