Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct data collection procedures by detecting a condition below a hole and judging an operation drill mode. SOLUTION: When a mud flow is detected, a detection item detects a rotational operation of a drill string. When a rotational motion is detected, an accelerometer detects an acceleration in a lateral direction of the drill string. When the acceleration in the lateral direction is present, an operation mode is judged as a drilling. When the acceleration in the lateral direction is not present, the operation mode is judged as a mud flow circulation. If the rotational motion is not detected, the accelerometer detects the acceleration in the lateral direction of the drill string. In the presence of the acceleration in the lateral direction, the operation mode is judged as a sliding. Without the acceleration in the lateral direction, the operation mode is judged as the mud flow circulation. When the mud flow is not detected, the detection item of the accelerometer, etc., detects an acceleration in an axial direction of the drill string. When the mud flow is not present, the presence of the acceleration in the axial direction suggests a continuous operation, i.e., a tripping or a short trip mode.
