Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooled vessel for molten metal which can be safely and efficiently water-cooled by controlling cooling temp. and a cooling water quantity by an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The water-cooled vessel for molten metal has a lining of a refractory 4 and in the vessel for molten metal having a water-cooling mechanism of an iron shell 3, the optical fiber 1 protected by a metallic conduit is disposed on an iron shell surface of an iron shell cooling part by the water- cooling mechanism and a means for controlling cooling water supply rate according to a temp. detected by the optical fiber is provided. The metallic conduit including the optical fiber is preferably disposed on the surface of the iron shell 3 at a part directly contacting with cooling water and a means for shutting cooling water supply when temp. detected by the optical fiber exceeds a prescribed temp., is preferably provided. |
