Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a system to a hard copy device wherein a perfect paper feeding route is made up, and an inexpensive, flat floor document scanner is adopted, thereby making the assembly quickly and efficiently performable. SOLUTION: In a modular automatic document feeder(ADF) 101 available in a flat floor input unit including a flat floor scanner or a flat floor copier or the like, it is equipped with a set of chassis consisting of three unit chassis equipping a main chassis 401 set up on the flat floor scanner when releasably attached to that, or in an interval between both upper and lower chassis 601 and 801 for forming a perfect paper route outside.
