Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with increase of sectional area of a column by connecting a vibration isolation device inserted in a cutout part of an existing reinforced concrete column to the reinforcements or steel frames of the column. SOLUTION: A vibration isolation device 2 is inserted in a cutout part 1b that a part of an existing reinforced concrete column 1 is cut out. The fixing structure A of the device 2 is constituted of a plurality of reinforcements 1a that concrete from a cutout part 1b of the column 1 to a break line 1c is cut off and exposed, upper and lower plates 3 welded to the front end of the reinforcements 1a, and an endface plate 2a of the vibration isolation device 2 fastened with bolts 5 to respective plates 3. Grout is placed in between the cutout positions of the column 1 concrete and also between the upper side plate 3 and the endface plate 2a and an external facing 6 is formed at the periphery of the cutout part 1b. In this way, since the vibration isolation device is connected to the reinforcements of the column, it can be firmly fixed to the column, and as it is not required that the sectional area of a column is additionally increased in conventional cases and a separate anchor is driven, reduction of a building site area around the column can be prevented.
