Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process and apparatus whereby and wherewith the improvement in power generation efficiency by the improvement in cold gas efficiency is made possible in the composite coal gasification-power generation field; and the equipment cost reduction by the simplification of gas-purifying steps including sensible heat recovery of a high-temp. gasification gas, dust removal, and desulfurization is made possible. SOLUTION: This pneumatic bed gasification apparatus, wherewith fine coal is partially oxidized with oxygen and steam under a pressure of 10 atm or higher to produce a combustible gas comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen, has a two-chamber, two-stage-oven structure consisting of a gasification oven 11 wherein coal and coal char produced by the thermal decomposition of coal are partially oxidized with oxygen and steam at 1,400-1,700 deg.C and a coal thermal decomposition oven 12 wherein a high-temp. gas from the gasification oven 11 is cooled to 900-1,400 deg.C, pref. 950-1,200 deg.C, by the thermal decomposition of fine coal blown into the oven 12. |
