Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cosmetic capable of applying skin massage in a state in which cosmetic is applied and enabling cleansing of skin, promotion of blood circulation and softening of skin by including a seaweed extract containing alginate and alginic acid as a film-forming agent and a water-soluble calcium salt as a curing agent. SOLUTION: (A) A seaweed extract containing an alginate (e.g. sodium alginate) and/or alginic acid is contained in an agent A as a film forming agent and (B) a curing agent comprising a water-soluble calcium salt (e.g. calcium chloride or calcium lactate) is contained in an agent B and the agent A and the agent B are contained to form a film. Preferably the component A is usually prepared as 1-20 wt.% gel-like aqueous solution in the agent A and the component B is contained in an amount of 0.5-20 wt.% in the agent B. The above cosmetic is preferably used by applying, e.g. a proper amount of the agent A to skin surface, well massaging the skin and spraying a proper amount of the agent B.
