Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant growth-regulating composition that can regulate a variety of weeds with the labor reduced and is useful for weed control on the ridges or levees in the paddy fields by using a mixture of sodium salt of bismethoxypyrimidinyl-oxybenzoate or the like. SOLUTION: This plant growth regulating composition comprises a mixture of (A) a sodium salt of 2,6-bis[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)oxy]benzoate, (B) a sodium salt of 2-chloro-6-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylthio) benzoate or (C) methyl 2-[(4,6-diimethoxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)oxy]-6-[1-(methoxyimino)ethyl]-benzoate as active ingredients. This composition controls the growth of weeds and the proportion of these components is 0.05-5 pts.wt. of the component B and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of the component C per 1 pt.wt. of the component A.
