SOLUTION: In the hot dip coating method for the strip to be executed by continuously supplying the strip 12 via a snout 13 into molten metal 14, the molten metal 19 contg. less impurities is poured to an advance start portion 18 on at least the lower surface side of the strip 12 diagonally advancing into the molten metal 14 from the snout 13, by which the generation of deposits accompanying the cooling of the molten metal 14 is prevented.
