Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise heat removal effect of spent fuel assembly by raising the circulation efficiency of gas with a guide plate efficiently guiding the risen gas to around. SOLUTION: For promoting gas circulation in upper casing 2, a guide plate 14 of a shape that the center is bending downward and the surrounding is bending upward and the periphery goes down is placed. For a similar purpose, a multitude of subopenings 16 are formed in the bottom plate 3 surrounding an opening 8 in the center. Therefore, a large quantity of gas rises from the opening 8 and the subopenings 16, which impinges the guide plate 14 and is forcibly guided upward, and so the gas is efficiently circulated.
