Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and easily perform floor laying work and restoration work when temporarily changing a room for a certain purpose into a room for another purpose. SOLUTION: A number of long floor panels 6 each of which is long enough to extend substantially the overall width or length of a room 1, are piled up and stored in a storage shed 12 provided indoors or in a position facing the room, are sequentially conveyed out, and laid from one end of the room. The height of each part of the floor panel is preset according to its installed position. The floor panel is provided with an engaging part which can be engaged with the other floor panels. The floor panels are conveyed using an airfloating carrying truck. To apply the floor panels to a pool room, the bottom surface of a pool 3 is formed as a movable floor 4 which can be raised to almost the same level as a pool side 5. A laying device having the carrying truck which travels indoors while carrying the floor panels in such a way as to be capable of moving back and forth is used, and the carrying truck can advance into the storage shed.
