Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and the cost of transfer by compressing and ciphering card information when the card information is transferred. SOLUTION: All pieces of information required for an authentication processing from a card inserted and set in a card utilization terminal 10 is read from a card information input/output part 11. One of plural compression means is selected and compressed by a control part 21 of a compression and ciphering device 20. In this case, a process to execute compression is held in a compression means storage part 23 by providing plural generally used reversal compression means, or the card utilization terminal 10 and an authentication center with the same code list. When data length of the data after compression is equal to 128 byte or more, another compression means is selected and the data is compressed again by the control part 21 and after the data is compressed to the data length of 128 byte or less, the card information is ciphered with a ciphering key described in a ciphering key storage part 25 by a card information ciphering part 24. The compressed/ciphered card information is transmitted from a communication input/output part 13 to a communication route by a communication control part 12. |
