Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method, for the mass in the water of a powder, in which the measuring time of the mass can be shortened and in which the measuring accuracy of the mass can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A powder (a sample) 2 is put into a measuring container 13. The measuring container 13 together with the powder 2 is made to sink in a water tank. The apparent mass in the water of the powder 2 is measured. In a measuring method for the mass in the water of the powder 2, water 3 is added to the measuring container 13 in which the powder 2 is put, suspension water is prepared, a flocculant 4 is added to the suspension water, the measuring container 13 in which fine particle portions 21 of the powder 2 in the suspension water are precipitated is made to sink in the water tank 14, and the mass in the water of the powder 2 is measured.
