Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use hot-water supply even in a place without fuel supply facilities, and to easily replace a gas cylinder, by providing the gas cylinder for supplying gas to the gas passage of a hot-water supply device. SOLUTION: Water is supplied to hot-water supply device body 1 from a water supply path 2, and a heat exchanger 3 for heating the water is connected to a hydrant 5 being provided in the hot-water supply device body 1 by a hot-water supply path 4. Then, the hydrant 5 is opened by a user, the passage of water is detected by a passage-of-water detector 12, a gas source solenoid valve 11 is opened, an ignition device is activated immediately after opening the solenoid valve 11, combustion is started, a gas proportion valve 10 is opened and closed corresponding to the setting value of a hot-water temperature adjustment switch 13, and water being heated to the setting temperature is discharged. After that, the hydrant 5 is closed for detecting the stop of the water by the passage-of-water detector 12, the gas source solenoid valve 11 is closed for stopping the combustion, a door being provided in a cylinder room 6 is opened, and a gas cylinder 14 is removed.
