Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic direct communication testing method for elevator confinement that can be carried out manually. SOLUTION: A worker first installs a car transceiver in a car in S1, and stands by at a landing with a landing transceiver S2. After standing by, the worker takes an external opening operation to cause a car interphone to raise an automatic signal indicative of car confinement to a control center in S3, and thereafter communicates with the control center direct through the car transceiver on the landing transceiver in S4. After this direct communication, the worker cancels the car confinement and removes the car transceiver.
