Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the facsimile communication system whose channel number is optionally adjusted and capable realizing a large scale system. SOLUTION: In the facsimile communication system where plural computers 1-n each having a FAX terminal are interconnected in a network, the computer 1 is provided with a computer information storage section 16 that stores computer information denoting FAX terminals of the computers 1-n, a FAX board/ channel management information storage section 17 that stores FAX terminal information denoting the operating states of the FAX terminals, and a control software 13 that controls decision of the FAX terminal for FAX transmission in response to a FAX transmission request by retrieving the computer information and the FAX terminal information based on the FAX transmission request from the user.
