PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an evaporation pan by enhancing the total drain water evaporation throughput just before a part of the drain water discharged from a commodity storage is sent to the evaporation pan, end also reducing the drain water evaporation throughput shared by the evaporation pan. SOLUTION: In this drain water treating device for automatic vending machine in which drain water produced in a commodity storage with a cooler is discharged from a commodity storage 13, and is led to the evaporation pan 8 arranged inside a machine room to heat and evaporate the drain water by an evaporation pipe 6g (through which a high temperature refrigerant gas for a refrigerating machine flows)in the evaporation pan, an evaporation sheet 14 having water absorptivity is hung and installed at a water discharging port 9a of water discharging trough 9 leading to the evaporation pan, part of the drain water, and a part of the drain water is penetrated into the evaporation sheet 14 just before the water reaches the evaporation pan and evaporated and diffused around.
