PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide desired contrast, acutance, granularity and inter-image effect by containing a specific pyrazolone DIR coupler and a specific image forming coupler in combination in an emulsion layer. SOLUTION: An emulsion layer contains one kind of magenta pigment generating pyrazolone DIR coupler expressed by a formula I and a magenta pigment generating image forming coupler expressed by a formula II of the like, where Ar1 and Ar2 are an unsubstituted aryl group, or halogen atom, and the aryl group having one or more kinds of substitutional groups selected from a group of the alkyl group phenyl group and the like, R1 and R6 are hydrogen or halogen atom or the alkyl or alkoxy group, R2 and R7 are independently selected from a group of halogen atom, an alkyl or phenyl group or the like and are at a para position or any of meta positions for the NH group, (m) and (q) are 0, 1, 2 or 3, R3 is the alkylthio or arylthio group or the like, R8 and R9 are independently hydrogen or halogen atom or the like, and (r) is 0, 1 or 2.
