PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building protective material, a building protective method and a human-body protective method, by which the damage of the building such as a column is reduced, the safety of a human body can be attained, there is less possibility of damage and no noxious gas generates at the time of combustion. SOLUTION: The building protective material 1 with a protective section 3, in which sectional shapes in the axial direction and the vertical direction are formed in an approximately arcuate shape, is prepared. Projecting strip 11 are formed from the outer circumferential surface of the protective section 3, and striped grooves 15 are formed to an inner circumferential surface. Both end sections 2a, 2b of the protective section 3 are spread and a column 5 is covered, and both end sections 2a, 2b are abutted against the side faces 6a, 6b of the column 5. The building protective material 1 has a moderate shape restoring force, the column 5 is clamped by the shape restoring force, and the building protective material 1 is fixed onto the column 5. Accordingly, the protective surface 7 of the column 5 is protected. The building protective material 1 is composed of plastics containing bubbles.
