Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester filament yarn of high quality, excellent strength and elongation and reduced filament unevenness in low costs only by drawing a yarn to run through a heating unit. SOLUTION: A fiber-forming polyester is melt-spun through a spinneret into a filament yarn, the filament yarn is solidified by cooling the yarn to a temp. lower than its glass transition point, then running through a heating unit for drawing and heat treatment. Then, the drawn and heat-set yarn having a temperature of >=50 deg.C and a tension of >=0.6 g/denier is treated with an oiling agent and wound up at a high speed. In this case, an emulsion type oiling agent to be applied has a concentration of 10-25%, a surface tension of <=-30 dyne/cm, and an oiling agent spreadability of <=15 seconds that will be defined in the following: 1 cubic centimeter of the emulsion oiling agent is dripped on polyester filament taffeta with the weaving density of 110 counts/inch warp and 80 counts/ inch weft and the time when the spread of the dripped oiling agent attains 2 cm diameter is regarded as the spreadability. |
