Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supress the leakage of a treating soln. from treating tanks in a device immersing wire rod into the treating soln. on a carrying passage of the wire rod and executing surface treatment and to reduce the amt. of the treating soln. to be fed to the treating tanks in the process of the surface treatment. SOLUTION: In a descaling device in which a wire rod L after heat treatment is subjected to pickling, showering and neutralizing treatments, as for the pickling and neutralizing treatments, treating tanks 2, 4, 6, 8 and 20 in which notched parts 10a and 10b for passing the wire rod L are formed are used. Furthermore, at the time of practically starting each treatment, leakage suppressing members 32 composed of synthetic rubber are arranged at the insides of the sidewalls in which the notched parts 10a and 10b are formed. As a result, the amt. of a treating soln. leaked out from the notched parts 10a and 10b is reduced, and the capacity of a pump feeding a treating soln. to each tank can be reduced. |
