SOLUTION: This glyceryl fatty acid alkylolamide ether sulfuric acid compound is a compound of the formula; R CONR (AO)m (G)n SO3 M [R is an 8-30C alkyl, or an alkenyl; R is H, a 1-3C alkyl or the like; A is ethylene or propylene; G is CH2 CHOHCH2 O or the like; (m) is 1-20, (n) is 1-10; M is H or a salt forming cation], for example, glyceryl palmitic acid monoethanolamide ether sulfuric acid salt. The compound of the formula is obtained by using a glyceryl fatty acid alkanolamide ether or a polyoxyalkylene glyceryl fatty acid alkanolamide ether as a raw material, reacting a sufurization reagent such as sulfuric anhydride, chlorosulfonic acid, sulfamic acid, an alkylsulfuric acid ester, an acylsulfuric acid ester or their adducts with a lewis base, and then neutralizing by an aqueous alkaline solution.
