Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transform document information to image data by recognizing a minimum area in which a character, a graphic and the image data exist when the document information is transformed to the image data. SOLUTION: Data to which image transformation is performed is first judged whether it is selected or not (S201). When the data to be transformed is selected, the image transformation proceeds to a step S206 and size of a minimum rectangular including the selected data is sought by calculation. An image transformation area set in the step S201 is judged in a step S203, when the minimum rectangular is set, the minimum area in which the character, the graphic, the image data exist is recognized and transformed to the image data (S205) and when no minimum rectangular is set, a frame or a document for one page is transformed to the image data.
