Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device capable of surely discharging static electricity generated due to rubbing processing to the outside. SOLUTION: Plural resistors 5 for preventing the generation of electrostatic breakdown in TFTs 2 at the time of rubbing processing are aligned on the peripheral edge of a TFT array substrate 1. Adjacent scanning lines and adjacent signal lines are respectively mutually connected through these resistors 5 and one end of each connection string is grounded. Since each of the resistors 5 is constituted of connecting an n-channel TFT to a p-channel TFT in parallel,, a current due to stastic electricity can be discharged to a ground terminal through the resistors 5. The resistance value of each resistor 5 is set up lower than the ON resistance of each of pixel displaying and driving circuit TFTs 2. These resistors 5 are separated from the substrate 1 after the end of the rubbing processing.
