Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a receptacle module to which an SC plug is connected by shortening the length of a ferrule. SOLUTION: An optical receptacle 70 is constituted by integrating an optical element module 80 and a ferrule 73. A frame 74 is constituted while locating an aperture 74d for holder lock on the top end side of the ferrule 73 rather than a projecting part 74b for adapter lock, and the position fitting a projecting part 72b1 for frame lock of a holder 72 or ferrule to the aperture 74d for holder lock of the frame is not on the side of the optical element module rather than the projecting part 72b1 for adapter lock of the frame but on the top end side of the ferrule 73. Thus, the length of the ferrule 73 can be shortened. Further, an end face 73c on the optical element module side of the ferrule 73 is constituted backward from the end of the holder 74 for ferrule on the side of the optical element module for a distance (a) in the direction of the top end side of the ferrule. Thus, the length of the ferrule 73 can be further shortened.
