Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a circulating pump of a hot water supply device to reduce waste such as radiation and power consumption of a circulating pump. SOLUTION: In a hot water supply device 1 wherein an auxiliary heat source 6 is provided in a hot water supply pipe line 3 of a water heater 2, circulation circuits 15, 7, 8, 10 and 12 are formed between the auxiliary heat source 6 and hot water terminals 11 and 13, and a circulating pump 16 is provided in this circulation circuit, hot water temperature in the circulation circuit is detected by a temperature sensor 14, the circulating pump 16 is controlled to start when the hot water temperature is lowered from a specified value, and the circulating pump 16 is controlled to stop when the hot water temperature exceeds a specified value.
