Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable scissors link for shear reinforcement, which is not bulky during transportation and storage, and which can be expanded to the desired height and length during use. SOLUTION: Pairs of slender rods 11, 11, each having a predetermined length and made of steel, are stacked and rotatably connected together at their centers by bolts or pins 12, and pairs of rods similarly rotatably connected together are placed adjacent to the pairs of rods 11, 11 rotatably connected together. The part of each rod of one pair close to one end is made to overlap the part of each rod of the other pair close to the other end, and these overlapping parts close to the ends are freely rotationally connected together by bolts or pins 13, 14. A number of pairs of rods are connected together in the form of a pantograph in a similar way. Thus when the crossing angle θ of the pair of rods is made smaller, they are folded and become compact for easy transportation and storage; when the crossing angle θ of the pair of rods is set at a predetermined value, they are expanded to provide a shear reinforcing member having the desired height H and length L.
