Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of quickly notifying a user of fault occurrence and fairly sharing a fault processing job when a physical fault needing manual operation for restoration occurs. SOLUTION: This device stores plural user addresses in a large capacity storage device 111 of a controller 100 of the image processor as a user list. When a fault occurs, a CPU 106 uses a program stored in a program ROM 133, selects an address out of the user list stored in the large capacity storage device 111 at random and transmits an electronic mail of a fail restoration request to the user ID through a network I/F 105. An electronic mail for notifying of the fault occurrence and a user name that notifies of the fault restoration request is transmitted to other users other than the user who makes the restoration request through the network I/F 105.
