Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To qualify evaluation with respect to finish condition of a painted face, especially dust sensation. SOLUTION: A light-and-darkness patter light with repeated pattern of light- and-darkness is projected on an evaluation object face and a light-and-darkness pattern formed on the evaluation object face is imaged. A luminance distribution calculation part 24 calculates an intensity distribution in a repeating direction of a light-and-darkness pattern from the image taken. Then, a wavelength calculation part 26 Fourier-tranforms the intensity distribution and calculates a wavelength distribution that is an amplitude distribution with respective to wavelength. An interval integration part 28 calculates an integral value of an interval corresponding to a wavelength region (0.2-2.0 mm) with respect to dust sensation of the wavelength distribution. Based upon the integral value, the evaluation of the dust sensation and a large amplitude of a wave length region are judged.
