Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart hardly deteriorated water-repellency to a metal body having fine pore parts. SOLUTION: This water-repellent agent comprises a film-forming resin and a fluorinated pitch. The amount of the fluorinated pitch compounded therewith is set to 20-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. film-forming resin. The film-forming resin is preferably the one selected from a group of a fluororesin, a silicone resin and a phenol resin. The water-repellent agent is especially useful in a case in which the water-repellency is imparted to a thermal spraying coating film having pores.
