Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an abnormal projection and a stuck foreign matter causing a dropout since a magnetic recording medium obtained by forming a magnetic layer on it contains many dropouts when the abnormal projection and the stuck foreign matter exist on a base film surface. SOLUTION: A blade means 6, an air supply means 7 and a pressurized air supply means 20 are provided in a route transferring a base film 2 from a feeding roll 1 by rotation of a take-up roll 3, and the abnormal projection and the stuck foreign matter on the base film 2 surface are cut off. At this time, the blade means 6 is positioned to optimize an abutted incident angle (θ) of the film to the blade, and the rear surface of the film is pressurized by the pressurized air supply means 20. The removal effect of the stuck foreign matter is improved by ionizing blowout air from the air supply means 7 or applying ultrasonic vibration. |
