Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element with an electron injection electrode with less performance deterioration, in which adhesion on an organic layer interface and electron injection efficiency are excellent, luminescence characteristics is enhanced, a damage onto the organic layer is less and generation of a dark spot is suppressed. SOLUTION: This element has a hole injection electrode, an electron injection electrode and at least one kind of organic layers between these electrodes. In this case, the electron injection electrode is filmed by a sputtering method, and is an AlLi alloy containing 0.1-20 wt.% of Li. It contains one or more kind of Cu, Mg and Zr in the following amount to a sum of Al and Li as auxiliary ingredients; Cu; <=10 wt.%, Mg: <=5 wt.% and Zr: <=0.5 wt.%, respectively. |
