Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and accurately detect the incomplete combustion in any time. SOLUTION: The apparatus for monitoring the flame in a combustion chamber 1 in a forced combustion type combustor to prevent the incomplete combustion comprises filters 21, 22 which face the base B of the flame to pass only lights at specified wavelength among chemically emitted lights, optical sensors 31, 32 for detecting the lights passed through the filters 21, 22, means 10 for judging whether or not the light intensity of the flame detected by the flame sensor 3 exceeds specified level, means 10 for instructing a blower fan 4 for increasing its rotation speed when the light intensity is below the specified level, this indicating the incomplete combustion, and means 10 for stopping feeding a fuel to the combustion chamber 1 when the frame light intensity re-detected through the filters 21, 22 is below specified level after the intruction of increasing the fan rotation speed. |
