Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simple detect or measure a tumor of a small animal for finding it at an early stage, by measuring an antigen (a small animal tumor NS antigen) being recognized by a monoclonal antibody NCC-ST-439 in the humor of the small animal. SOLUTION: A small animal tumor NS antigen in the humor of a small animal is measured. The humor such as whole hood, plasma, serum, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, and saliva may be utilized as the humor of the small animal. The small animals include all pets other than cattle, pigs, and chickens being called a domestic animal, and dogs and cats are representative ones. In the case of a normal, small animal, the concentration of the small animal tumor NS antigen in the humor is low and is increased by the sideration of the tumor. Therefore, the antigen in the humor of the small animal is obtained for diagnosing the tumor of the small animal, thus detecting the tumor antigen of the small animal, diagnosing the tumor, and checking recurrence after surgery by a simple method.
