Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the oxidative corrosion resistance of superalloy parts provided with oxidation preventing protective coating and a thermal shield according to circumstances and furthermore to produce thermal shield coating remarkably high in high temp. peeling resistance. SOLUTION: The method for improving the oxidative corrosion resistance of superalloy parts is composed of a stage in which a superalloy supporting body having a sulfur content of <0.8 wt.ppm at the maximum is produced and a stage in which oxidation preventing protective coating having a sulfur content of <0.8 wt.ppm at the maximum is deposited on the superalloy supporting body. According to circumstances, it includes an additional stage in which ceramic coating with a columnar structure is deposited on the oxidation preventing protective coating for applying the same to thermal shield coating. |
