Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of the surface of a sheet through the formation of a rounding and of a filmy coating membrane, and simply and easily form a complicated shape. SOLUTION: In order to manufacture this sponge molded body, sponges are fixed together under pressure and heat and then this sponge body fixed under pressure is molded under pressure and, in succession, demolded under increasing pressure. The heating condition under the above-mentioned pressure is a pressure of 1-20 kg/m and a heating temperature of 80-300 deg.C. Far infrared light may well be employed as a heating means. At the formation of the molded body through the molding of the above-mentioned bonded sponge composite, the interposition of a spacer on a foamed resin sheet side is preferable.
