PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly transfer a pallet into a parking room having a tandem space. SOLUTION: Roller racks 29, 41 for guiding a pallet 11 in a transferring direction are provided across a traveling truck 1 and a tandem parking room, and a connecting metal fitting 17 which is locked to the adjacent pallet 11 in such a way as to be capable of being pushed and pulled horizontally and which is freely vertically fitted in place and removed is provided on the side part of the pallet 11. The traveling truck 1 is provided with an arm turning device having a swing arm 27 capable of reciprocating and rotating about a vertical axis. Next, a locking roller 26 which is freely removably fitted into a transfer engaging groove 16a formed in the pallet 11 and which is freely movably fitted into the transfer engaging groove 16a is provided at the end of the swing arm 27, and the traveling truck 1 is further provided with a pallet lift device which can fit and remove the locking roller 26 into and from the transfer engaging groove 16a by raising and lowering the arm turning device within a predetermined range and with which the connecting metal fitting 17 can be removably engaged.
