SOLUTION: In an exhaust gas treating device provided with a corona discharge part 20 for activating an exhaust gas with corona discharge between a high voltage electrode 21 and an earth electrode 22 and a catalyst part 30 for purifying the exhaust gas activated with the corona discharge part 20, the high voltage electrode 21 is arranged in the direction crossing against the flow direction F of the exhaust gas.
