Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise and vibration and improve oil separating efficiency in discharge gas by fixing a relatively small diameter pipe to a discharge pas sage of a discharge cover in a state of one end being inserted in the space of the discharge passage, and opening the other end of the pipe into a discharge chamber. SOLUTION: When a male rotor 6 and a female rotor are rotated by a motor 7, low pressure refrigerant gas taken in from an intake port 8 passes a gas passage between the motor 7 and a casing 1 to cool the motor 7 and then is taken into the meshed tooth surfaces of the male and female rotors and a compression chamber in the casing from an intake port 9. After being compressed, the refrigerant gas is led to a discharge passage 15 through a discharge port 17 formed at a discharge cover 3 and discharged into a discharge chamber 4 through a pipe 20. In this case, the pipe 20 is inserted in the discharge passage 15 only by the length corresponding to 1/4 of wavelength of sound wave. The crest of sound wave and the trough of sound wave reflected by a shielding plate 19 interfere with each other to reduce amplitude of pulsation so as to reduce noise and vibration. |
