Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper from being folded and a paper sheet from being fed extremely away during feeding of paper sheets, by constituting a roller by covering a soft elastomer material on a shaft core and by covering a lubricating resin on a soft elastomer material layer. SOLUTION: As a soft elastomer material, a vulcanized rubber 21 with a JIS-A hardness less than 60 and a JIS compression permanent strain less than 35% by 70 deg.C and 22 hour test, for example, silicone rubber, polynorbornane rubber, chloroprene rubber, or chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber is used, and its coating thickness is more than 1 mm. The outer diameter of a shaft core 20 of a feeding paper driven roller is more than 1.0 mm, and the ratio of a soft elastomer material coating thickness to the outer diameter of the shaft core of the feeding paper driven roller is more than 1/30. As a lubricating material 22, for example, fluororesin, polyethylene, or polyamide resin is used whose friction coefficient is less than 0.5. Because this paper feeding roller has large deformation and stability and small friction coefficient, and feeding out of paper sheets is suitable.
