Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus in which a component as an object inside a microtrap is moved more quickly than a speed at which the component as the object is moved inside an analytical column and in which the width of a sample band is reduced to a minimum when a sample is introduced by a method wherein the temperature of the microtrap in which a collector is installed is raised at high speed. SOLUTION: A hollow tube 3 is constituted in such a way that a tube 1 such as a capillary column or the like is covered or housed, and it is used as a microtrap by installing a collector 2. Heat blocks 12, 13 are arranged at the front end and the rear end of a cylinder 15, a power supply 5 is connected via electrodes 14, and the hollow tube 3 is heated or cooled. Then, the temperature of the hollow tube 3 (the microtrap) in which the collector 2 is installed is raised at high speed, and a component as an object inside the microtrap is moved more quickly than a speed at which the component as the object is moved inside an analyticalcolumn. In this manner, since the collector 2 whose holding force is stronger that of the analytical column is installed inside the metal hollow tube 3 whose electric resistance is changed by a temperature, the component as the object can be concentrated without making use of a cold trap effect by a refrigerant, and the cost of an apparatus can be reduced.
