Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capillary electrophoretic apparatus capable of ensuring the reliability of data even in a case repeatedly used in analysis a plurality of times without replacing a gel. SOLUTION: A sample introduced into a plurality of capillaries 20 packed with an electrophoretic medium is separated electrophoretically and a plurality of sample components are optically detected by detecting laser excited multi- wavelength fluorescence by a detector unit 60. A capillary judging means 200 calculates the half-width of the predetermined single peak [e.g.; the single peak of guanine (G) of 345G] in the signal peaks corresponding to the respective components in the sample detected by the detector unit and, when this calculated half-width is narrower than a predetermined reference level, the state of the capillaries 20 is judged to be good. |
